Instagram, or the ‘gram, as it's become affectionately known, has been gracing us with its presence since October 2010, nearly eight-years! Since then, the app has made a name for itself as the most popular and widely used photo sharing platform.

So, if you're a social media connoisseur like ourselves, you'll be just as excited to get posting on Instagram's newest feature, IGTV. Until Thursday, June 21st, Instagram was primarily used for photo and video sharing of up to 60 seconds, until, the release of IGTV. IGTV, which stands for Instagram Television is a brand-new experience within the Instagram app which allows its users to share high-quality video content up to an hour in length. The videos will also be full-screen and vertically-oriented, meaning that they're ideal for mobile streaming and you won't need to turn your phone every time you want to watch something full screen.
It’s also helpful to note that Instagram trendsetters such as; Bryce Xavier and Lele Pons have agreed to film videos specifically for IGTV, influencing other users and showing them how to use the feature themselves. Like Instagram Stories, IGTV will also have a built-in ‘swipe up’ function for big names, so these Instagram partners will have the opportunity to send viewers to their own websites via the videos.
